A research platform, redesigned from the interface down
A modern website backed by custom systems for publishing, selling, protecting, searching, and distributing research.

Orpheus redesigned Hyperion Research’s website in 2025, creating a clearer, more modern experience for its high-performance computing, AI, quantum computing, and cloud audiences.
Behind the new interface is a custom platform for publishing, selling, protecting, searching, and distributing research. The relationship also includes data integrations, reporting, and years of virtual-event production support.
The result shows how a website redesign can improve the public experience while deeper platform engineering supports the organization’s publishing and subscriber workflows.
A clearer, more confident research brand
The 2025 redesign replaced a dense legacy presentation with a focused visual system built around Hyperion’s research, experts, and technology coverage. Stronger hierarchy and navigation make it easier for distinct audiences to understand the organization and reach relevant content.
The work extended beyond a surface refresh. Orpheus moved the site away from its legacy page-building system, established a maintainable theme foundation, and carried the organization’s content into the new experience.

Research treated as structured content
Orpheus built a custom WordPress document platform that manages research metadata, hierarchical categories, downloadable files, and editorial workflows. Large subscriber libraries load on demand and use cached queries to keep complex catalogs usable.
The public catalog gives readers a consistent way to find research while the underlying system gives Hyperion a durable publishing model instead of a collection of one-off pages and files.

One system connects publishing to subscriber access
Research can be published as free or paid downloadable products. The platform creates and synchronizes WooCommerce products, maps research libraries and Power BI resources to membership plans, and protects source files while preserving valid customer downloads when documents change.
Customer-specific API feeds, document-content indexing, membership-aware search, per-user and per-document download logs, and scheduled summaries connect publishing with downstream search, data, and reporting workflows.

Production support across presenters and time zones
Orpheus coordinated, produced, hosted, and managed Hyperion conferences that combined live and simulated-live sessions for audiences in multiple time zones.
The distributed presenter-recording challenge also inspired Spectacle, an Orpheus-built desktop web application with companion mobile concepts. Its companion case documents the project and the recording, production, captioning, translation, branding, and rendering workflows it brought together.
